MAGAZINE - V1 (draft)

Please have a look at the draft of the 1st issue of "News from Europe" ;)
Let me know if there are any mistakes or things you would like to change.
It's almost ready (also the back cover that is not in this document yet).
The colours and fonts have slightly changed when I converted it into pdf and the quality of pictures is a bit worse than in the original.
However it was too big to upload.
HAPPY SUMMER HOLIDAYS to everyone!  :)))))

Ready, Steady, Go!

In England we have many favourite sports, although football is very close to our hearts, netball, rugby, cricket, tennis and F1 motor racing are also extremely popular. The Beijing Olympics in 2008 created many new sporting heroes and heroines, which we happily added to our existing sporting legends. Here is some information about some of our favourite sports and sports personalities as chosen by The UK Comenius Committee.

This is how we celebrate!

In England we have had lots of reasons to celebrate lately. Traditionally we celebrate St George, out patron saint on 23rd April and May Day on 1st May. This year we also celebrated the marriage of HRH Prince William, who is second in line to the throne and Miss Catherine Middleton on 29th April. They are now known as The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. Congratulations your highness!
